I was about to launch into a tirade on the new search engine Cuil but I see one of my colleagues has already done it.

Instead I'll be the first to warn about choosing names carefully. Cuil is apparently Gaelic for knowledge and, er, hazel. That's fine and good but it's very close to 'Cul', which if I recall my college days correctly is French slang for 'ass' (in American, Arse in English, bum, bottom, you get the idea...)

Anyone wanting to highlight equally wise names they've come across as comments is welcome!

Well I remember the issue with the Mazda MR2. The car was apparently never popular in France because of what it sounds like when you say the name of the car in French - 'Mazda Em Erl Deux'... GCSE Level French or French friends required to understand the pun.
