What I want is a ticker very similar to this

Under the nav in red. I will also be using vB forums. I am using a free theme from AlienSector and you can view it here:

I was thinking of having it between the Welcome Message and stats. The ticker. If you can point me in the right direction, I know no JS. Or if you can give me the code that would be great.

I don't mind editing the source code, to make it say different things, and it only needs to say one thing, not random like on SF.

Any help would be appreciated!
