My computer works fine otherwise but outlook seems to move real slow...I have not changed settings, is there anything I can check out?

As a further note to the post, OCCASIONALLY I get a page which says diagnose connection problems, not sure if the e mail & that could be related....this is pretty sporatic....soooo I dont know where to begin or look, any ideas would be great....
