I have a dual processor Power Mac G4. I can't mount my internal hard drive. When I try to start up from the original OS X cd the drive is not listed. I can view it through Disk Utility and when I hit "Verify Disk" it reads that the hard drive needs to be repaired but the "Repair Disk" button is disabled. When I try to repair the disk through Disk Utility after booting from an external drive the "Repair Disk" button is still disabled.

Any ideas on how to mount the drive?

Thanks, Enards

Disk Utility cannot repair the drive, as it has likely gone to quite a far stage of corruption. Probably the best thing for you to do at the moment is a complete reformat and reinstallation of Mac OS X.
