- Shutdown the wifi and bluetooth
- If you have a 3G/4G connection and don't want to shutdown the net, atleast regulate the amount of data used.
- Finally, decreasing the brightness of the screen works wonders.

well it is already faster and if you want to get it more faster try using overclocking applications.
