i was having problems getting the sound to work and i was looking for the markings on the mother board. i removed the hard drive and replaced it. when i tried to boot it back up nothing came up on the screen and there was no hard drive activity what can i do?

ok there is no monitor activity and the system doesnt beep at me at all. On the front of the labtop is a button that tells ya when the cd drive is in and its lit up but the drive wont open with the button.
