hey, i have a gigabyte 915p motherboard, when i put a apacer ddr2 ram chip into ddr2 slot1 and powered up it lets out long beeps, but when i put the same ram chip into the other ddr2 slot it works perfectly, also if i have 2 identical ram chips in both the ddr2 slots it works but does not detect the chip in slot1, any help would be great, thanks.

they need to be installed in matcing pairs of equal speed + size
also some boards like the pairs as 1+3 2+4 rather than 1+2 and 3+4
maybe they are over the max. Some boards dont support sticks that are too big
