I have been asked to see if i can perform a clean installation of Windows 98SE (genuine copy/legal code) onto the Thinkpad 560x UK model.

Although the machine sees the external floppy drive it does not see the external cdrom drive on the pcmcia bus. the cd rom is a CNF cardport 20x cdrom on PCMCIA interface. I am used to normal cdrom drives and so do not know where to start to get win 98 to look for the PCMCIA cd rom drive.

I would appreciate as much help as you can give, as I said I have been asked to look and see if i can sort this machine out for a kid for christmas.
