HI,

I wander what are the best sizes and cluster sizes to use' if i want the machine to be fast and not spending a lot of space.

Acording to those HDDs sizes:

20G
14G
3.2G
0.8G

using win98se

If there is a conflict between saving capacity and the HDD speed' maybe it is possible to use one partition as the primary systen (fast)'' and another partition to save space (can be slower)

So what are the best sizes to use in case I want to have them partitioned and what is the best cluster size to use

Thanks

win 98 doesnt support ntfs which is a very fast file system (despite its initialization at boot) and supports a total of 16 EB of partition size ....

while fat32 file system becomes sloppy with the increase in drive space and it supports a max of 2TB of space.

And fat16 supports 4 gb max .... and if the partition size is less than 2 gb windows automatically chooses fat16 as file system.
