I'm trying to download some videos onto an ipod, so I installed the 8.11 version onto my laptop, my friend said it didnt recognise the ipod (80gb), so we uninstalled it and installed his 7.3 version which he 'guaranteed' works. Anyway, that failed, and I am left with this error
'The file "iTunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes' , this is not the end. We've installed cucusoft, which seem to work, converting a dvd, but it wont be transferred onto the ipod. I am tearing my hair out over this simple task, can anyone help please???

It look's like you posted in the wrong forum. Next time, post in the Hardware/Software hardware forums. I think they'll also need to know what operating system you are using.
