Ok what if your computer doesn't go to start up window. I just goes black. I have tried F8 and nothing. I have tried safe mode and nothing. I am wits end. That is the computer I use for my kids homework and homeschool. So its not a light matter. Thanks for any help you can give me.

need more information. your monitor is ok? your cpu running? your agp is ok? do you have good knowledge about hardware? if yes then please check out all hardware and connection. and then reply again please.

Might be you need to format your PC, first try this if still get the same problem then you need to get help from hardware or recovery companies.
