Hi, I'm trying to start a project with computer vision. I have a video recorder that gives its live output in the AV yellow/red cables. I am asking how in the world to somehow get those to come into the PC, preferrably through the USB port, so that I can run the LIVE video feed through OpenCV, which is written in C++. I have acquired an EasyCap device, but that seems to only record the video so that you can edit/do stuff to it after it finishes redording. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

A tv card with the correct inputs would do the job. Hauppage are one of the better makes.
A card will have better bandwith throughput than a usb device.
