My mother has a Sony Vaio laptop PCG-F540K
She left the wireless card in the cardbus slot and I guess it got shoved in too far and broke it--now it won't hold a card in.
Is this easy/inexpensive to fix? Can I do it myself?

You could try to go to a computer fixing place to fix your computer, or if your hardware comes with accidental damage protection you could get it fixed, or you could simply try to buy a new motherboard.
