Hi any bright stars out there well if so can you come to my rescue recently purchased 1GB 266/333/400MHz 200-PIN DDR SODIMM RAM FOR my laptop advent 7082 but when i put it in it did not load up but i was just wondering was this because it was the wrong type or is it just faulty please offer your opinions ps it does fit in the slot though hope to here from all ye brainy guys and girls out there much appreciated The Irish man :-)

You might want to try emailing the support guys at www.pcservicecall.co.uk and tell them what brand/model memory you installed to make sure it's absolutley compatible.
