I have a brand new macbook pro and can't boot up on internal hard drive.

I have run the hardware test and have done the option re-start as well as attempted to re- install osx - but still no hard drive. Do i need to give up and take this back to the apple service provider for hard drive replacement or is there something else i can try to find the hard drive.
