Apologies if this is in the wrong place, I was debating between the XP and Network Hardware Forums before I settled it here.

I've been looking into possible backup solutions for around 10 or so users all on Windows XP undomained PCs, and I've narrowed the possible options down to either external hard drives for each machine, or by getting some form of network attached storage that can be used to make shares for each user to have their data on. The main problem is that there is nobody among them with real technical knowledge, so any solution would have to be either robust or extremely simple to manage. Does anybody know which direction I should go in for maximum ease, and what hardware is most reliable for the task?

Many thanks in advance!
