"STOP: c0000218 {Registry File Failure}
The registry cannot load the hive(file):
\systemroot\system32\config\SOFTWARE
or its log or alternate
It is corrupt, absent, or not writable"

That's the error I get. I get it when the Windows loading bar fills up. Any idea what the problem is or how to fix it?

Thanks!:icon_smile:

Well I wiped the hard drive and am reinstalling Windows, hopefully it isn't a hardware issue then.

Well if reinstalling doesn't work come back and I'm sure we can troubleshoot a little bit.

blue screen shows up says UNVOLUMNE BOOT VOLUMNE to start in safe mode. in the beging screen i try to move the arrows up or down to go to safe mode.but the arrows will not move at all. then it goes to the blue screen.

the error I get on mine is "inaccessible boot device".
Does anyone own a copy of ant bytes boot? if so, how does that work?

I have found that a lot of times unmountable boot volume on a desktop is usually a fault with the optical drive.
