I have a 40 GB Samsung hard disk. Free quently booting I lost my hard disk data. It may be burn. It is dedected by mohter board but not windows xp. By seagate disk manager I dedect it . But it seens 18 Gb. I just Restore my data .doc & xls ). How is it possible.

since your data in the hard disk was already lost, try to delete and format your hard disk, and install again winxp on it.
