i have a problem with vx2 on my computer, i have tried to fix it with the ad-aware vx2 cleaner plug-in, but it doesn't work, so i think that this is the new variant. after ad-aware is finished, it has a file it can't remove without restart. the file is irpml7711.dll. whenever i tried to set adaware to run on startup, the spybot S&D registry guard thing came up and said something was trying to delete the autorun entry. Now i think something has disabled spybot because it never comes up anymore. Can anyone help me get rid of this please? here is a copy of my hjt logfile:

also, my firewall comes up and says that several windows programs, i believe it has mostly been explorer and winNT logon, are trying to connect to a-d-a-w-a-r-e.com. after my computer sits a while, my modem still shows an internet connection, but my browser stops connecting. i run adaware and spybot and cwshredder but i can't kill everything and im running out of ideas on how to fix all of this. if you need any more info just ask.

Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

i started watching the infected files that coudln't be fixed, and notice that they were all dll's in the system32 dir, so i ran a windows repair install and so far it seems to have completely gotten rid of it, i am not having any of the problems from it any more, and none of my ad\spyware detectors are finding it. im not positive but i believe this could be another very simple fix for the problem, i will let you guys know how this turns out.

You also need to go to Windows Update to get the Critical Updates for your system.
