I think I have been infected and I am entirely sure if it has been cleaned. Apparently an infection was on my system and it downloads and installs other virii after a period of time. The variant I was infected with was:

trojan horse backdoor.hupigon.rcg

Not the best advice I have heard. What do you advise when tracking cookies get installed?

To the OP. Get rid of the download accelerator. Just a gimmick.

Can you please do the following.

Now, close all instances of Internet Explorer and any other windows you have open except HiJackThis, click "Fix checked".

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_d5756.html) to your desktop.

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end, be sure to checkmark the Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Download the update from here if you have problems.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad.
* Post the log back here.
