Not able to access resources.

-I am not able to access registry,task manager.
-Every time i try to get into safe mode it shows a blue screen error and it restarts.
-Audio too gone.

I am using compaq presario v6000 series laptop.

Any suggestions??

What operating system? What anti-virus program? What were you doing before this happened? Download anything new or install anything new?

I am using Windows Xp service pack 2.
I am using Kaspersky anti virus sytem.
I didn't install any thing particular, i was watching a movie when the sound stopped working.
When ever i try to get into the audio and sound devices in the control panel , every option is grayed . I am not able to change the settings of the audio mixer.

I need ur help.

Sounds to me like an infection.
Follow the steps given here, especially the scan/removal process with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and post back with the requested logs.
