No promises here cos you may end up having to reformat.

Download this zip.

http://tools.zerosrealm.com/pv.zip
Please unzip it to the desktop. It will not work if you run it from inside the zip.

After unzipped go to the desktop. Open the pv folder. Double click on the runme.bat

A dos window will open. Please select option 1 for explorer dll's by typing 1 and then pressing enter.

Notepad will open with a log in it. Please copy and paste the log into this post.

This what you want?

Yes, that's it, but the info I was hoping to be there isn't there, meaning that you have the infection that hides itself.
There are still a few ways to go if you wish, but it may take a while?? If you wish to go ahead plz do the following.

Download regalyzer from http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer&lang=tr

Copy and Paste:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows

into the address bar and press enter

double click on the AppInit_DLLs sub key and the value box will open.

check the contents -- shuold be the path to the dll.

Post your result

C:\WINDOWS\System32\d3dmdgf.dll

Correct?

Correct. Ok. Download CWShredder from here but do not run it yet.

Please download TheKillbox from here: http://download.broadbandmedic.com/VbStuff/KillBox.zip

Unzip the files to a folder, then double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. In the "Paste Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste the following:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\d3dmdgf.dll

Don't click any of the buttons though, instead please click on the Action menu and choose "Delete on Reboot". On the next screen, click on the File menu and choose "Add File". The filenameand path should show up in the window. If that's successful, choose the Action menu and select "Process and Reboot". You'll be prompted to reboot, do so.

When you're back in windows, please run cwshredder. Post a new regalyzer log along with a hijackthis log.

C:\WINDOWS\System32\d3dmdgf.dll

Can you do this once more please & then the extra bit last.
double-click on Killbox.exe to run it.

The filename and path should show up in the window. If that's successful, choose the Action menu and select "Process and Reboot". You'll be prompted to reboot, do so.

Run CWShredder.

Run process viewer again & double click the runme.bat again. This time choose option 6 for appinit contents.
Notepad will open with a log in it. Please copy and paste it into the results.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows]

"Spooler"="yes"
"swapdisk"=""
"TransmissionRetryTimeout"="90"
"USERProcessHandleQuota"=dword:00002710
"AppInit_DLLs"=""

Ok 1 more minor cleanup.

Please double click the runme.bat again. please chose option 7. after that is done run it one more time and chose option 6 and post the new appinit log here.

Post a new Hijackthis log also when done.Also a regalyzer log plz. If it is still there or comes back, there is one more thing to try, but hopefully, this will get it.

Reg
C:\WINDOWS\System32\d3dmdgf.dll

It is still hanging in there. How patient are you?? Try this method.

Run regalyzer & type HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\\AppInit_DLLs
into the address bar, or expand the same key.

-Rename the Folder Windows
to NotWindows highlighted as a purple folder
in the left hand pane of reglite.

-Click "AppInit_DLLs" again and clear the data value:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\xxxxxxx.dll (random named dll) <- delete this line ,
'Apply' and 'ok' to set.

-Rename the NotWindows folder back to its
original name Windows

-Restart computer

Check in the system32 folder if the culprit dll is visible. If it is, delete it. Run CWShredder. If you have Adaware & spybot S&D, run them too. Post another hjt log after a reboot.

Hey man just want to say thanks for the help I've been busy with work but the prob is its still there. I tried the process more then once already...once I restart and load up IE it will be fine for a while. Then all of a sudden the IE homepage gets taken over once again. What are my options if I want to get rid of this crap. Also on the reglayzer window when I type out the address "...currentversion\windows" that last "windows" folder were the App is at....never ends. It just keeps going and going when I open it and each folder has the dll so when I delet it in one the others still have it. Again whatever you can do please let me know.

There is an updated fix now so I reckon you will want to try it. Yes? :)

Download dllfix.exe from http://downloads.subratam.org/dllfix.exe . Create a folder on your desktop & click on the exe you downloaded. Direct the install into the new folder.
You will see there are two more folders inside and two BAT files. Run start.bat & select option 1 for the report. Once the search is complete a ".txt" file should pop up with the name "Output.txt". Keep it. You will see there is a random dll named there if found. Run the start.bat again after dll found. Run option 2 and choose correct option in submenu. Option 1 if the dll file was found, option 2 if the file wasn't found.
If no random named file was found & you run option 2, your system should reboot in about 15 seconds. Once it has rebooted & done it's cleaning up, download & update Adaware if you don't already have it. Run it & remove all it finds.
Run start.bat again choosing option 1 & post the log it creates along with another HJT log.
