hijacked please help, i can't do homework

I have a Hp pavilion, running windows me, internet explorer 6.0. logged on to www.cmt.com last weekend and apparently downloaded a hijack. When I start up, I immediatly get pop ups, it has been going on for a few days and they are increasing. every 60 seconds i get around 5 pop ups, usually advertising spyware, slow connections, and other junk. after logging on to the internet, or word, or notepad, my programs stick...ie can't open anything else, can not choose start, cannot get to control panel. I ran cw shredder to no avail, spyhunter, spybot and hi jack this...here is my log..please help, i have midterms do and cannot switch pages on the internet, so my reasearch is going very slow. i have to shut down after being online to type something in word. then shut down to get online or print, if i don't nothing will open.

Download LSPfix from here
On the opening screen, click the "I know what I'm doing" checkbox. Check all instances of "lspak.dll" (and nothing else), and move them to the "Remove" pane. Then click Finish.

Unzip HJT into it's own permanent folder before doing anything in order for it to create backups. (Not a temporary folder or directly on the desktop (in a folder on the desktop is fine) & not directly on your hard drive). Close all (browser) windows & rescan with hijackthis. When the scan is finished place a check in the box to the left of the following entries & click 'fix checked' :

Reboot into safe mode following the instructions here & navigate to & delete the following if found:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\CDSM32.DLL-file
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\automove.exe-file
C:\WINDOWS\goidr.exe-file
C:\WINDOWS\aqadcup.exe-file
C:\WINDOWS\mwsvm.exe-file
c:\windows\system\lspak.dll-file

C:\Program Files\Common Files\slmss-folder

In order to view these files you may have to select 'show hidden files/folders.' Instructions on how to here.

Reboot normally. Download & install & keep updated, spywareblaster from www.javacoolsoftware.com to prevent the installation of those bad 016 entries (active X controls).

Post a new log after please.

I see nothing in your log. You need to update hijackthis to version 1.98. Run hijackthis & go to *Config\Misc Tools\Check for update on-line*. Remove 1.97 from the folder it is in & replace it with 1.98. Maybe it will show something.
You can also try the following & see if anything is found. Pop ups with no indication as to the reason in the hijackthis log is sometimes caused by look2me.

1.) Scan with the finder, select files it finds and delete them.
2.) During the deletion the utility will end both Rundll32 & explorer.exe processes, so when all files are gone;
3.) Click the restore desktop button to get the desktop back.
4.) Click UserAgent$ to delete last registry item.
5.) Clear the contents of your C:\Windows\Temp folder

ok, i ran spybot again, it keeps coming up with virtual bouncer, i looked this up on my neighbors computer...it seems to be pretty nasty, giving permission to its self to download to your computer. I tried deleting it out of reg edit. but it comes back, it is part of spyware labs, inc. If anyone knows how to get rid of this please, please help...i don't know if starting in safe mode will help after i try deleting it..but i have forgotten how to start in safe mode. I am getting desperate...I need to finish my research paper..

ok, virtual bouncer seems to be gone, but the popups are still coming strong..here is the new log...spybot now brings up two things avenue a, inc. and ms works.

well, problem solved...i killed everything backed up what i wanted, erased my hard drive and reloaded windows and my software...i added spy bot and spyware blaster...if you can recommend anything else to prevent this in the future, it is much appreciated.
