Hi everyone!
I just received a computer that had windows 98 on it from a relative as a gift. I would like to try and run linux on it, but there seems to be a problem. Windows is not completely on it. The only files on the hard disk are COMMAND. There is no uninstall program, and from what I read on the microsoft web site, there is no way to uninstall windows 98. Does this mean that I will not be able to load another operating system on it? (I downloaded the fedora .iso files) Thanks in advance.

There is no way to uninstall Windows, but you can format/erase the Windows partitions, and install Linux on that free space.

Just pop in your FC2 cd . Delete the exsiting partions and recreate them in linux
