Driver for Oberthur

I have an Oberthur token for digitally signiature. I tried to install the driver in the folder /root/lib or /root/local/lib. The instructions said that I have to write in the cache of the library the command "# ld config" . I opened the library and put this command. I don't know if the acrion is good.
1) I want to know where, exactly have I put the library in /root/lib or root/local/lib 
2) Whre exactly have I put the command "# ldconfig"
