I like using key commands for most everything, and in the Finder (in OS 10.4.11) the key command for "Move to Trash" is "command + small box pointed on the left side with an "x" in the middle of it.
Where is that key?

Most people don't, I'm guessing. I suppose the reasoning behind the icon was because 'x' is commonly associated with deletion.
