Is there a way to sort folder contents in Vista like in windows XP. I normally sort almost... everything on my computer by:

View -> Details. Arrange Icons By Name + Show in Groups

So you have a list for "#" "A" "B" etc. But I can't seem to do that in Vista. Is there a way?

Anyone?

here are the steps you can try to sort by group.
right click on a empty area in the Windows Explorer window. then Click on Sort By, Group by, or Stack By. Choose the sort order you want the window to be sorted by.

View details, and right-click on the sort-bar. You should have a field chooser option on the menu. When you click on that you'll have quite a few fields to choose from.

All that did was sort them by like "A-H""I-P"
I want all the A's grouped together, and B's and such... I can't get it to sort like that. -.-

in xp it was right click -> show in groups (once arranged by name)

should be the same in vista. check the screenshot.

No its not the same in Vista... I knew how to do it in XP, simple stuff. But this is different. >=[
