Ok friend just cam over to my house, but his drivers for his DVD drive are corrupted, so it does not read anything. Tech support suggests to insert the recovery disks, but the drive can't read it. Help?

Jump to PostThe recovery disks will work regardless of whether windows has the correct drivers or not. You boot off of the recovery media using the BIOS, they will run independantly of any installed OS. If you cant even boot off of them using the BIOS, then its a hardware fault.
