Yea So im making my brother a computer and its a old dell xps mother board and penteam lll and i have 2 hard drives and it has partial operating system(they dont work at all) one is 98 and the other 2000 i want to put xp on it but when i put the cd in it wont read because when it boots up it goes to whats left of the op. i need to no how to delete the op or just some simple way to put the xp os in it please let help me im getting so mad haha

First of all, make sure the system is capable of running XP. Microsoft says the minimum requiremtents are a 233Mhz CPU and 64Mb of RAM, but for a system you can actually use, you should have a 300Mhz CPU and 128Mb of RAM.
Next, you need to go into your BIOS and set it to boot from the CD first (before anything else).
