My husband is having trouble with his eMachine desktop. He was on a forum the other day and clicked on a link to another web site. While he was on this other web site, he started getting a bunch of virus warnings from his antivirus software (he's running Avira). After about a hundred of these, which he kept denying access for, he turned the computer off by pressing the power button and holding it down. After a couple of minutes, he tried to power it on. The eMachine screen came up, then the screen with the 7 different start options (which includes 'Start up in Safe Mode') and then the Windows XP screen. Now all it does is cycle between the 3 screens. He tried all the selections on the 2nd screen with no results. He has tried powering it off and then back on with the same results.
Any ideas would be really appreciated.
