I Can not connect to the internet after installing xp sp3 home edition . I googled the problem one site was really helpful but all i accomplished was that I got rid other LAN error message by repairing the tcip stack. I did the whole bit of running it through my router and connecting it to my dsl modem. Nothing has worked. I know that the problem is not with my router or modem it works on my other pc s and xbox. Get this I had Ubuntu on it and no problems connecting.Just with xp.
PC is a Copaqu Presario 6400nx with 1.562 gig of memory. BEC DSL modem
Linksys WRT54GS router.

Jump to Postif your modem and router are fine, then check your network driver. go to my computer, properties, hardware tab, and click on device manager.. check if you see a yellow exclamation mark besides your network card ... if so you get to find your driver and install it.. try another …
