Hi i was shutting down my windows vista on my hp laptop .

Vista wouldn't shut down till a program would end so i plugged the power supply .

Now when i turn on my laptop all that will appear is a blank black screen

any suggestions how to over come this problem ?

in the future never unplg it ,
now ,try hitting f8 on boot and see if can get into safe mode if yes go t ostart /run/ type in CMD ,in command type in CHKDSK /f

you can also try the windows vista recovery disk if you have it if not just try the above, any questions on obtainig the windows vista recovery disk i would be glad to give it to you.
