More frustration on my half

Yet another computer is screwing up. What is happening is that when I put in the (student) password to log onto the network, nothing happens.
About 5 minutes later you see the log on script come up and run and then nothing happens.
When I do the 'thee fingeres salute' (Ctrl Alt Del), it says:

Mprexe (Not Responding)

UGH! Help, someone.. please... *Weep*

man, am I an didiot. I had the domain name worng. I had it set as last years instead of this years
