Can someone tell me the difference between a process and a service in the task manager.

a process is the program running in the computer while the services is the program built in the windows operating system..

Programs also install a service. Generally the service is set to run all the time so that it is ready for the process that needs it.

Process is the program that is currently running but service is like a software program it automatically runs when you start the system and makes sure the programs run properly.
