My screen problem

Why under the name of the icon on desktop there is always a white rectangle? i mean this [IMG]http://img489.imageshack.us/img489/3138/untitled5pv.jpg[/IMG] not like this [img]http://img489.imageshack.us/img489/6950/desktop4ry.jpg[/img]
ANd how can i get out of it?i know it doesn't matter but it makes the wallpaper and the desktop looks so ugly.

Go to My Computer-Properties-Advanced under Performace click on settings and on visual Effects tab see whether Let Windows choose what's best for my computer is selected and check whether all the options are Check marked

i did tried to uncheck the "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop - option" but it doesn't help anything. :(

bunny, here i can give u only one suggestion

U create another User Account by clicking Start-Control Panel-User Accounts, and compare both the user accounts settings

The settings of both accounts are exact the same but the second account which i created are what i want on screen :the rectangle disappears under those icon on desktop.

Well sorry bunny i cant help u anymore bcoz the same problem i faced and solved it by creating a new account and adjusting the settings. I donno why its not working for u. Here u can also delete the old account and start using the new one, but before doing it backup ur files from Mydocuments, Mymusic, and the Desktop of ur old account
