I'm having a strange issue with the mouse. It will freeze momentarily and play 3 or 4 notes and then it will unfreeze and sometimes will play another little tune. The computer itself has been freezing up too so i suspect we have a virus. I ran ccleaner and the free version malwarebytes but it didn't solve the problem. Any suggestions will appreciated!

You might try the open source AV tool ClamWin. Besides scanning files, it can also scan what is loaded into memory.
