I have a Dell inspiron 9100with Windows xp professional. I'm having trouble with slow performance. my task manager shows that I have 53 processes running in the background. generally my computer CPU usage is around 85%. I'm not sure how to solve the problem. I have defraged and completed disk cleanupand have no viruses

your task manager should also show what process is using the most of the 85% it may even be bouncing from one to another ,check it and let us know !
