Hi I recently updated to windows vista from XP (wish i never) and i was having problems connecting to my router. Finnally managed to connect to it but can only go on the internet via mozzilla firefox. None of the microsoft applications such as internet explorer, live meseenger or media player recognise the connection. When i start explorer just says cannot display the webpage.
Please help as i need to get on with my uni work

You should try doing a fresh format with your windows vista cd/dvd
Doing upgrades is not good, just burn all the data you want to save
Run windows update and download all your drivers.
