my cd cdrive doesnt work so could i put alcohol 120% on and put backtrack 2 on it and could i boot off it if i cant can i boot of it in vmware workstation

Thay are mechanical devices and they tend to go wrong first.
Anything else wrong ?

its my moms pc and she is one of them people who dont let you open the pc up HAHA so thats why
its ok ive done it know anyway
