Hi,
I am using Excel 07 and need to change the width of my columns for just a selection of cells. I want the rest of the column on my worksheet to stay the same - can anyone please help a chick out!

Jump to Posthmm I'm certainly no excel expert, but I don't even think you can do that. You want to simply enlarge one of the rectangles within a column, right? I don't think you can do that.. why would you need to do that anyway?

I think what you want is "merge cells". Highlight the cells you want to join. Go to "format > cells > alignment > click 'merge cells' ".
If you're doing this often, add an icon to your toolbar (customize). see attachment.
