I have a laptop with XP on it but the LAN socket is not working. My wife has a new laptop with Vista on it and I've been trying to set up the above range extender on it without any luck. Using the CD and the setup wizard, the search found no router and the hardware manual gives no way to manually install the extender on Vista. Can anyone help please? Also in passing, I'm hoping to buy a Mac soon. Will the extender work with both a PC and a Mac? Thanks.
