Hello All,

A friend of mine has bought a new Belkin router and has a problem with filesharing and printersharing.

Desktop with wireless USB (Belkin) and a Notebook with wireless (HP). Workgroup on both machines is the same. XP OS on both systems. But he can't get the sharing to work.

There's no option like "client mode" or "AP isolation".

Anybody? :-)

TIA and greetings,
Jaymz

Aside from file/printer sharing, does the network work OK?

Windows File & Print sharing is usually dependent on NetBIOS - make sure that you have enabled NetBIOS over TCP/IP on both workstations.

You will find the option to enable NetBIOS in the advanced TCP/IP settings for your network interface

TY Bench for that quick reply. He got his problem solved: Norton Internet Security was in "Internet" mode.
