Hi,
A friend and I are planing to get new eMachine computers and we want to add the hard drive from our old towers as slaves in the new tower so we can access our files and bookmarks. My old computer is a 9 year old Dell and hers is a 2002 Compaq. Will this be possible? If not, how would we be able to access our files on the old drives?

9 yr old drives will be ide/ata connection ,new may be SATA connection ,so it will only work as long as you new motherboard has IDE plug on the board ,they are getting scarce,but usually have one! its sometime in use by a ide cdrom device ,but you could disconnect the cdrom and slave a harddrive to it
