hp a6750 wont turn on

I have a hp a6750y that will not turn on. I've plugged it directly into the wall to bypass the surge protector. I already replaced the power switch on the tower (not the prob). The light on the back of the power supply remains steady when plugged in(not blinking). I need to know what my options are. Is the power supply bad? Motherboard? Other Ideas? Any direction from here would help. thanks, mike.

You need to test the PSU! Do you have a volt meter and know how to use it?

If you have a working power supply at hand, it should be easier to simply swap.

Yea it was the power supply I thought so but the trouble shooting guide on HP's website was misleading. Thanks for the help
