From a SQL client point of view there is very little difference.
The management side is completely changed. The Data Transformation Service (DTS) system has been replaces by the SQL System Integration Service (SSIS).

The GUI management system is much more integrated now with the functionality of both Enterprise Manager and Query Analyser in the same application (SQL Server Management Studio).

There are major differences in the indexing system and its maintenance. Though only an MS SQL expert would realy be interested in these.
