I found the test 70-228 to contain a wide variety as far as question difficulty. About 1/3 of them were very easy, about 10 (of the 45) questions were quite hard and had me second guessing myself a little, and the rest fell somewhere in between. I passed on my second try (missing the first time by one question) with moderate study and 2+ years experience working with SQL Server 2000. Questions on optimizing indexes, statistics and c2 logging caught me out - but I managed to pass with 730. Several of were very tough, just like i found in ucertify exam simulation. This make my habit to cool treatment through questions.
