First of all, sorry for my bad english :)

Actually I'm creating a little program that should replace Vista's welcome center (that one that shows the system info's, microsoft's related links, etc..). So far I've made the "header" part of the form (see attached image) and now I need to re-create something to manage user programs shortcut. I've tried to use a list view but I found that it can't manage the shortcuts icons.

I'd like to make something similar to Vista's Welcome Center and/or Windows Explorer.

Any idea? Thanks in advance :)

Im not sure exactly what your question is here... The title mentions writing to a file but you dont mention that in your post. Not sure what your trying to get but you can add icons to a listview control.
