what I like the most: c++, microprocessors & Hardware.

I was thinking of making a device and connect it to a system. but still I don have a clue what kinda devices do I want to work with
What kind of equipment do you have access to that can interface with a computer? Or do you plan to spend lots of $$$ out of your own pocket for it?
Maybe an oscilloscope ?
