Help - on how to apply routing in vb.net program

Hi everyone! :)

Can somebody pls help me out here. Im still a noob at programming. Im creating this program in vb.net which is supposed to be used on a lan, say we have PC 1, PC 2 and PC 3. The thing is, after the user selects which pc will be the recipient, he'll then click button 'send' in the program, and its supposed to send the data and be processed to the selected pc.

Now the question is, how do I apply routing in this program? Are there any specific controls in VB.net I have to use first? How will the PC 1 know that it should send its data to PC 3 not PC 2?

Any tips, info and codes will surely be appreciated. Thanks! :)

I think you need to read & learn socket (System.net) and other API to do so. I'd suggest a book - Network Programming in VB.NET.
