Hello all,

I recently installed MinGW on my XP Pro box (SP 3). When I click on the shell icon, the resulting behavior of the MinGW shell console window is incorrect. Initially, the console opens up as it should, complete with frame and scroll bars, but after about 5 seconds, it closes and then the full screen opens up. The display has no title bar, frames, or scroll bar. I can program the shell in this display, but it is clumsy and wierd. Can someone suggest a solution?

Does Alt+Enter help get you out of full screen mode? If you right click on the MingW Shell icon and go to properties, is there an option indicating that it will be opened in Full Screen mode or Windows Mode?
